《Henkel is among the Top 5 sustainable companies in Arabia》:
In recognition of its commitment to sustainability, Henkel has been shortlisted for the sixth edition of the prestigious Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards. Henkel Arabia is among the top five companies in the Large Sized Enterprise Awards category.
This year saw 111 companies applied from 10 Arabian (MENA) countries covering 23 different industries vying for the accolades. The Arabia CSR Awards ceremony is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group and Chairman of Dubai Airport. Mr. Ahmed Naser, General Manager Laundry and Home Care at Henkel GCC, represented Henkel Arabia at the ceremony.
“It is a matter of great privilege for Henkel to be named among the top five for the Arabia CSR awards. Sustainability has been part of Henkel’s DNA since our establishment in 1876 and this shortlist is a major inspiration for us to continue with our mission in this arena,” said Mr. Naser.
Henkel’s sustainability strategy is not about quick wins or opportunistic goals, but rather a major driver for innovation and an increasingly important differentiator for its businesses. Maintaining a balance between success and eco-protection has been fundamental to the company’s corporate culture for decades.
Henkel was recognized with the Arabia CSR award for its contribution to sustainability – from raw materials and production to transportation, product use and disposal. Henkel’s sustainability strategy is focused on two dimensions – More Value at a Reduced Footprint.
The strategy aims to increase the value created by Henkel in the areas of social progress, safety, health and performance and reduce its carbon footprint in water, energy and waste.
