《H.B. Fuller committed to strengthening business in China》:
Global adhesives provider focusing on perfecting adhesives, sealants and other specialty chemical products, H.B. Fuller, said it is committed to strengthening its business in China.
H.B. Fuller says China is a major global manufacturing hub, and a strong presence in China provides a great opportunity for H.B. Fuller to support its customers, especially in the nonwoven hygiene markets that produce for the domestic Chinese market, as well as for the broader Asia Pacific region.
Despite the lower rates of market penetration for hygienic products, the hygiene market in China is now reputed to be the largest in the world, recently taking over from America.
H.B. Fuller has invested heavily in China in recent years by expanding its existing facilities in Guangzhou and Nanjing and continuing to develop and enhance what is already a strong position in China, is fundamental to its overall strategic growth goals.
Heather Campe, Vice President (Asia) informs, “To expand our reach, we have ensured that we become a strong and competitive force in China and have made significant investments in manufacturing to grow with the markets we serve and further increase our market share.”
H.B. Fuller acquired Forbo’s Industrial Adhesives business in 2012 which had two plants in Guangzhou. It integrated the two into one world-class facility and tripled capacity to efficiently produce hot melt adhesive solutions, including PSA hot melt for hygiene.
Additionally, it renovated its development laboratories and office space, and invested in state-of-the-art customer prototyping equipment. H.B. Fuller is in the process of expanding its Nanjing capabilities to include PSA manufacturing to better serve its growing hygiene customer base.
“Our investment for growth in China is exciting. It’s important to our future, and it supports the success of manufacturing companies in China that are looking for production efficiency, cost-effective adhesive solutions”, concludes Heather Campe.
For over 125 years and posting net revenues of $2.05 billion in 2013, H.B. Fuller is a global adhesives provider focusing on perfecting adhesives, sealants and other specialty chemical products to improve products and lives. (AR)
