《Electrolube Debut VOC-Free Coatings and Silver Conductive Adhesive at Design-2-Part》:
Electrolube will feature the latest advances in conformal coatings and adhesive technologies to the American market at the Design-2-Part show on May 7-8 in Schaumburg, Illinois.
Electrolube’s versatile new silver conductive adhesive, SCPH, will be of particular interest to designers and manufacturers of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and liquid crystal monitors (LCMs) who seek to improve the efficiency of their manufacturing processes. The silver adhesive is suitable for the assembly of cellphone display modules, tablets and similar products that incorporate flat screen displays. It offers excellent electrical conductivity and good adhesion to most substrates, especially indium tin oxide and colour filter substrates. Suitable for use with fast-action, automatic dispensing equipment, SCPH cures at ambient temperatures within ten minutes and requires no special storage conditions due to its halogen and antimony free formulation.
The TFA-US acrylic conformal coating has been specifically designed for the American market to help manufacturers reduce their site’s VOC emissions. The new coating fully complies with the latest regulations by using federally approved, VOC-exempt solvents to improve operator safety and reduce environmental impact. TFA-US facilitates the selective coating process and provides greater adhesion on difficult substrates. With UL94 V-0 flammability rating, the fast drying coating meets the requirements of IPC-CC-830 and is currently pending UL746E from the Underwriters Laboratories. It is also available as bulk material for manual application methods.
Electrolube’s new UVCL fast-drying UV Cure coating is also VOC-free. The 100% solids coating cures in seconds with conveyorised UV lamps or within 2 hours at 80C°, due to an innovative ‘multi-cure’ mechanism that facilitates cure in shadowed areas. Shadowed areas cure in under 3 days at ambient temperatures and humidity, or can be accelerated by a 30-minute bake at 80C°. With a 12-month shelf life, the single-component, low-viscosity UVCL coating has been specifically formulated to give superior ‘sharp-edge’ coverage with common selective coating methods. This highly flexible coating meets IPC-CC-830 requirements and is UL94 V-0 rated. Pending UL746E, UVCL is extremely resistant to common ‘thermal shock’ cycling, solvent and fluid exposure, moisture vapour, salt-spray and condensing environments.
Electrolube is a trusted provider of high performance chemical solutions to the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic, industrial and domestic devices. As an ISO 14001 company, companies can rely on Electrolube to deliver products developed with the utmost care to the environment and operator.
