《Dow Corning Foundation supports Midland County Habitat for Humanity》:
Midland County Habitat for Humanity was awarded a $5,000 grant from the Dow Corning Foundation donor advised fund through the Midland Area Community Foundation.
The grant was used toward scaffolding and safety supplies needed on the construction site of MCHFH home builds and revitalizations.
MCHFH is celebrating its 25th anniversary and expanding its capacity to build and revitalize more homes. With proper safety equipment, it will be able to increase its volunteer capacity to help build additional homes. MCHFH said its top priority when working on a construction site is the safety of its volunteers.
“Without support and involvement from companies like Dow Corning, Midland County Habitat for Humanity would not be able to serve Midland County families in need, while keeping our volunteers safe” MCHFH Executive Director Jennifer Chappel said. “We are appreciative of the Dow Corning Corporation for their continued support of our programs.”
The Dow Corning Foundation’s vision is to demonstrate Dow Corning’s and Hemlock Semiconductor’s commitment to mutually benefit growth in society, especially in the communities where they operate. Part of the foundation’s mission is to improve vitality and quality of life in communities where Dow Corning employees work and reside.
MCHFH applauded Dow Corning’s commitment to its community and thanked the foundation for supporting the organization and the families it serves.
