The NYSCC Torch of Technology Showcase is an annual competition that highlights the science of new cosmetic products and technologies. In this year’s contest, which was open to all attendees, the Dow Corning product captured more than one-third of total votes cast.
“The Torch of Technology Showcase enabled us to present the science of our Dow Corning CE-1874 Microemulsion and to educate attendees about its extensive benefits in hair care formulations,” Lin added. “It is an exciting technology that is clearly viewed by many as one that is raising the bar in hair care performance ingredients.”
Dow Corning CE-1874 Microemulsion is a recently introduced silicone material that addresses consumer demand for youthful, fuller hair. It provides hair repair and color protection benefits to shampoos without sacrificing hair volume. This clear, water-dispersible silicone polyether microemulsion can be used in standard, sulfate-free and clear shampoos to help increase the fullness of thin, tired-looking hair, repair dull, dry hair and protect and maintain the color of color-treated hair.
