Bostik, leading global adhesive specialist for industrial manufacturing, construction and consumer markets, today announced details of a global promotional programme designed to increase the firm’s worldwide visibility and capitalise on its recently-unveiled new brand identity. The planned corporate and local market initiatives over the next two years will combine traditional and digital marketing channels including advertising, exhibitions, web and social media programmes as well as point of sale activities to encourage sales through its worldwide distributors and retail partners.
The increased investment in marketing resources and promotional programmes follows the recent unveiling of the firm’s new SmartAdhesives brand identity which reflects its position of developing intelligent and innovative adhesive solutions that are more functional and efficient.
One of the more prominent marketing initiatives is an eye-catching outdoor advertisement close to the firm’s headquarters in Paris, France. The 245m² (12,6 x 19,5 m) advertisement is prominently displayed on a 9-story high building on the “peripherique”, one of the Europe’s busiest highways, en route to Charles de Gaulle airport. It is a road traveled by more than 2 million vehicles per day and has striking nighttime visibility. The ad features the gecko from its logo – an animal that is renowned for its remarkable bonding abilities that allow it to cling to or run up almost any surface and includes the key message of “Sticks everything, everywhere!” in French.
Commenting on the announcement, Bostik’s new Chief Marketing Officer, Phil Derby, said, “It’s a very exciting time for Bostik and we look forward to working with our promotional and distribution partners on rolling out these very exciting promotional campaigns around the world”.
